Bizspark was at the back of my mind when posting this: http://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...n-run-ltd.html

I do have a proper plan B but pulling it into a separate company seems silly when there is no income. But potentially it could be worth it for stuff like this... to emphasise it is a real plan B not "let's start a new company to get free swag"

Most likely I need to dump contracting and focus on plan B properly if I want it to progress properly, but I seem too cowardly

Nice one, do you have a plan B then, with a website etc?

My plan B got me BizSpark a few years ago but when I tried to register recently through my company they rejected me.

Does anyone know what the assessment is about?
You need to register as a partner and fill out the competencies pages when you register. The assessment just checks to see everything is filled in from what I saw when I got the action pack earlier this year.

Overall I like it however I wish it had Windows 7 and 8 Enterprise ISOs so I can use things like USB support in HyperV VMs. The Office 365 for 5 users and Azure servers are also useful (especially to run simple test boxes).

You can also get a VS subscription as part of the action pack but you will need to re-register for this separately if you renew the subscription. Not sure what this is as I rarely use VS.

Yes, because I am on the Action Pack subscription. You get a minimalist subscription however. And they changed the Office 365 sub. from 250 seats to just 5.
The only bits I use are Office365, VS and SQL Server and a couple of Win8 licences.

I'm thinking of switching over to Bizspark and paying for the Office365 subscription, probably would work out cheaper for me.

Should I purchase my own version or try to get a copy off my next client?

Is it worth getting my own MSDN subscription?
MS Action Pack, seems to contain MSDN.
