Yep, all fads...Originally posted by The Spartan View PostWith all the methodology and what not flying about I tend use just one that I call LGSD, Let's Get Sh*t Done. It's never failed me and continues to prove it's the best of the lot there are no books or seminars or gurus for that matter but I think that's why it works so effectively

I have a proven, repeatable approach for bringing order out of chaos.
But I'm not not laying it out here - clients have to pay for that kind of thing (queue NLDYUK...)

As long as you do it in a way which leaves code someone else can pick up, documentation, proof the code works (other than your word) then fine. All I'm getting at is lots of people describe themselves as experts and get defensive when asked how they work... think they're too good to need such things... cowboys as someone else said.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostAnd people who follow whatever the latest trendy methodology is can also leave a terrible mess behind. Indeed, but you don't need to announce it to the world. If you're selling yourself as an expert you should know how to do the job and deliver things that actually work without needing someone to tell you to follow some process. That's what I do.

I think he is asking if any of you have your stuff together and what do you use to make yourself more efficient & saleable if there is no standard (UNIX's point).
Though so far it seems you don't and you are almost all just cowboys (LiveElvis did try to help) .
Sorry not my area but good luck.
