Oh for goodness sake - get something decent like an Atari ST. You can get them with 2 or even 4M of memory. That means you have plenty to use as a super fast ramdisk.

Invoicing PC
Looking at:
486 SX25- do I need the Turbo button?
256kb RAM
Don't need Hard disk or might go for a huge one for backups - 20mb? Never fill that.
3.5" floppy or 5.25"? For loading programs into memory - Both?
No Sound card needed - Pacman works with the speaker but this is not a gaming machine remember.
Token ring card?
13" Monitor - EGA or CGA? I think you can have too many colours - maybe Black and white?
Thinking Wordstar and SuperCalc for expenses.
Had a look at some archived mags for prices and it's coming out at £4k for this rig - worth it?Tags: None
