    Morning all

Yesterday was cloudy and about 22 degrees. Showers were forecast but never materialised. Barometer had crept up to 1015 mBar.

Today there's blue sky with lumps of fluff. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 22. Barometer steady.

Had a very nice day yesterday. Went to see A Long Day's Journey into Night with a friend. Then met HWMBO and some of his old work colleague for drinks, dinner, more drinks over Shoreditch way.

Today HWMBO and I are going to visit Mum. She hasn't seen him in a while so it'll be interesting to see if she remembers he's a 6'4" large chap of Indian heritage.

    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

18.3 deg in here, 19 deg in the kitchen, 18 deg in the leanto.

1010.5 mBar, 29.84 in Hg, 757.937 Torr, 14.656 psi, (up from 1010 last night), 78% RH (GDR hair), 76% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 29th of September 2019 I watched yet more Jeremiah, whilst NF popped out the back to look at the stars and found it chilly at 12 deg C, whereas WTFH took a photo of his scars & posted one on twatter.

    Morning denizens

Sunny start out and going to continue that way all day, it seems, though with the caveat that there does seem to be a bit of a high haze at the moment. Currently 13°C and aiming for 21°. The barometers are up a little to 1004/1012mB. And there's a light breeze helping fresh air to circulate

Sad times on Monkey Life today as Sammy, one of the original group of chimps that founded the place (with a little help from the Cronins), died suddenly of an aortic aneurysm in his 40s. And then Toprish, who was only 14, also died suddenly of a pulmonary embolism

This evening, I've started reading Atomic Accidents by James Mahaffey

Early night now, so I have more time to not get around to doing stuff tomorrow

    Goodnight all

    Afternoon denizens

Cloudy grey day today, though not rainy and expected to start brightening up later and maybe even clear up completely in the evening. Mild too, being 18°C and likely to reach 20°; the barometers are up to 1003/1011mB

    Morning.

    Saturday.

    Dry.

    Grey.

    Wanly sunny.

Cool in here at 18.4 deg, 19 deg in the kitchen, 18 deg in the leanto.

1009.5 mBar, 29.81 in Hg, 757.18 Torr, 14.64 psi, (untapped last night), 77% RH (GDR), 72% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 29th of September 2019 DaveB's dog learned that whilst ducks may float, dogs don't, other than that there was discussion of defining 30 light years in km.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. It rained a little on the way back.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom. It rained more on the way back.

    Lunch: beans on toast etc.

Entertainment: bits of Dead Ringers and the 13 o'clock news.

Freecell score: 92%, Running average: 86%.

    Tea: spag "bol". Meh.

Entertainment: PM, followed by Nick thingie waffling to some politico or other.

    Bits of "Starman (1984)".

Dixon of Dock Green S20 E17 "Firearms were issued": in this case 4 off Enfield revolvers in .38/200 as was the wont at the time.

End of "Starman (1984)" where the mother ship locates itself over Meteor Crater. Can't believe it's 40 years ago.

The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre "The Shareout (1961)".

Off on a little jaunt later, involving one of those metal tubes that go through the air.
