Tea has been the last of the beef & Guinness stew out of the freezer

This was accompanied by the final episode of Netflix’s Yorkshire Ripper documentary

Another day done, and only three more to go!

Today was quite productive in the end, dealing with some slightly gnarly stuff that ends up replacing some much gnarlier stuff written by somebody else a few years ago

Lunch was a Pukka steak slice, eaten in haste as I didn’t have much time after sorting the links out, which I was too busy to do during the morning

    Afternoon all,

Wind 5 kt from the South
    Temperature 12°C
    Humidity 82%
    Pressure 1007 hPa
    Visibility 10 km or more

This week's soup seems to have more curry powder than normal because I just emptied whatever was left in the pot into the pan. Nice though.

    Afternoon all

Dull. Damp. Currently 14 degrees and that's the high for the day. Rain forecast off and on. Barometer up to 1008 mBar.

    Sunrise 07:54; Sunset 15:53 GMT

Not much going on today. Have been offered an extra six months extension with ConsultancyCo, got an interview for another gig with ex-Client contact booked in for Thursday. Still need to find out what the dodgy Swiss lot have planned for 2026. The fact that I still have income opportunities after the end of the month is welcome.

    Morning.

    Monday according to the runes.

    Damp.

    Grey.

    Dreary.

    Sunless.

NotsoChilly in here at 14.8 deg, 12.5 in the kitchen, 12.5 in the leanto.

1001 mBar, 29.56 in Hg, 750.8 Torr, 14.52 psi, (up from 999 last night), 66% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 5th of March 2020 Brillo, eek. opm, NF and Churchill popped in and whereas it rained upon LM, it was blue skies in Manchester with opm.

Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom, wearing a layer too many.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about head gaskets, dodgy motor dealers and potholes. <click>

Shopping trip to Aldi (who didn't have all that I wanted) and Tesco. Well at least it wasn't so heavy on the way back.

I observe that willendure has joined the throng of posters whose posts don't appear. .

Tea: chilli con carne with rice. Nice enough. Entertainment: PM with the usual bollox about the Orange (Russian Asset) Mother****er.

The Oak Island nutjobbery. I wonder what they won't find this ep: they won't find The Ark, Marie Antoinette's jewels, the Holy Grail or anything much. .

Having walked over 7 miles today, I'm really feeling it. :.

A very mild 11C out, with not a breeze. Expecting rain later.

    Morning denizens

Cloudy but mild today, being 11°C already, though the wind allegedly makes it “feel like” 4° and it's only getting to 12° later. There’s also a 35% chance of rain in an hour or so, though if it comes, it won’t persist. The barometers are back up a bit at 992/999mB

Going to be busy today I reckon - I want to make sure I leave stuff in a good state so my colleague isn’t stuck fixing my mistakes during the additional week she’s working before starting her break

Tonight’s viewing was an episode of The Crash Detectives

And in the GSG 9 book, the first problem in establishing an elite counterterrorist force turns out to be that in the early 1970s, nobody’s quite sure what one should be like. But they found valuable inspiration from underground publications that circulated among terrorist groups, advising how to structure urban guerrilla units

Monday again tomorrow, and it's my last working one of the year!

    Goodnight all

We had some rain this afternoon but the sky seems to have cleared now, so I’m getting an excellent view of Jupiter and the Moon ascending in close company with one another

Tea has been more leftovers, just to get them finished off

I’ve also managed to do a bedding wash, which is not far from being finished
