A somewhat busy morning delayed me, but I managed a lunchtime dash to the closer Sainsbury's for various bits. That one doesn't have a hot food counter, so lunch instead has been a cold chicken leg and a bag of plain crisps. I do like a bit of cold roast chicken in warm weather

That sounds interesting, I'll give that a watch this evening

    Morning all

Bright and breezy with lumps of fluff scurrying across the sky. Currently 21 degrees with a high of 24 expected. No rain forecast. Barometer down a snifter to 1012 mbar.

The gardener finally got back to me yesterday and Mum is now booked in for Thursday next week.

    Morning. .

    Friday.

Bonfire mostly consumed. It would appear there's much gardening to be done since I can only just get into the green house.

    Dry.

    Dampish.

    Grey.

    Sunless.

Cool in here at 20.4 deg, 22 deg in the kitchen, 19.5 in the leanto.

1009 mBar, 29.796 in Hg, 756.8 Torr, 14.634 psi, (up from 1004.5 last night), 74% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 30th of October 2019 there was discussion of making rice pudding in the microwave, mundane washing, when the Rover P4 changed from Whitworth bolts to AF (whatever thread), the fairly mediocre BTVS "Beer Bad", WTFH was having a quiet day with the dog, his Mrs was off on a spa day, while LM was watching Lucy Worsley followed by a prog about weasles, whereas NF was watching something about Lehman Brothers.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

    Lunch: scrambled egg etc.

Entertainment: some twaddle on the Y&Y spot, TWATO, and the thing about asbestos in talc.

Shopping trip to Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

The remainder of the box room duly vacced.

    Morning denizens

Quite a sunny start but still very breezy after a blustery night. Already up to 16°C on its way to 23° while the barometers are down a bit at 998/1006mB

    Friday!

And as I seem to have neglected to record the fact, yesterday's tea was chunky breaded cod with chips and beans, meaning it was quite a day for breaded fish products

    And again today

Very grey out now, and there was some rain earlier. I'm in two minds whether to go shopping this evening or do it tomorrow. I'll probably leave it until tomorrow

Lunch was a chunky fish finger bap (wholemeal, red sauce)

    Morning.

    Thursday.

    Dark.

    Dank.

    Dreary.

    Sunless.

Drizzling with that very fine drizzle that's wetter than wet.

    Grey.

Cool in here at 20.4 deg, 22 deg in the kitchen, 19.5 deg in the leanto.

1006 mBar, 29.707 in Hg, 754.56 Torr, 14.59 psi, (down from 1008.5 last night), 72% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 30th of October 2019 NF related the story of the chap in Bristol going to work on a unicycle, whereas I went as far as the viewless point on the morning constitutional where there were Other People, WTFH had an informal interview with a chap he'd worked with previously, and NF did the mundane laundry.

    Lunch: baked spud etc.

Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about sommat until I read a book for a change.

The thing about asbestos in talc at 13:45.

    More book.

Decided to clean the box room & move all the book cases about & clean underneath: from the state of the place it's a while since I did that. One unfortunate spider ran about the place & then dropped dead. Feck me there's a lot of stuff in there & still more to do tomorrow.

    Tea: soup etc.

    Entertainment: PM <click> More book.

    The Mentalist S5 E12, E13.

    Trucking Hell S8 E12.

Thing on BBC4 about Trump & Nixon.
