An email from a lady in Kazakhstan promising me plenty of photos. One good thing about lots of scam emails to your business email address is it show you have a decent presence on Google.

Tea has been spag bol, except with tagliatelle instead of spag
I bought the tagliatelle a while ago as an experiment but this is the first time I’ve got around to having any. It’s much the same in many ways, of course. Maybe it’s because I'm not used to it but I found it a bit fiddlier to eat, so I may not bother with it again once I’ve finished it

That’s because of the fundamental architectural mistake in vBulletin 5: putting almost everything in one humongous DB table with a “type” field to tell what each row actually isOriginally posted by sadkingbilly View Post
and since thanks/likes etc are off on the busiest thread here, that'll be moot.

Our former administrator used to accept requests for custom titles, but I don't know if the new people will! But the stock ones are based on post count and haven't been extended to the dizzy heights some have now reached for many years, so I'll see if I can get some new ones in there to give us something to strive for
The "reached the peak" one is based on rep and, again, needs some new levels adding. Moving rep across is going to be interesting as that was done by a plugin, and the new system has something similar. But if it doesn't seem right, I'll just have to replicate the existing rep system! Good job I have all the source code for this stuff sitting around somewhere

Can we have updated phrases under the avatars - I'm a bit bored of "I live on CUK" and "ladymuck has reached the peak. Play again?"

Morning all
Overcast but not too dull. Damp. Currently 14 degrees with a high of 16 expected. Will remain cloudy all day with a chance of rain early evening. Barometer up to 1011 mBar.
Sunrise 06:59; Sunset 16:30 GMT
Many meetings today. I think I need to find a new gig as I'm bored of this one. A friend at ClientCo was surprised at how long this current stint has lasted.
Very grumpy at the way the GB pound is performing against the US dollar. My USD invoices with otherClientCo are not worth as much as two months ago. I may need to renegotiate my rate if I'm extended into 2026.EDIT: What a complete load of nonsense that was. The rate has moved in my favour

Morning.
Monday.
Grey.
Dark.
Dank.
Dreary.
Drizzly.
Windy.
Sunless.
Chilly in here at 16.4 deg, 15.5 in the kitchen, 14 in the leanto.
1005 mBar, 29.6776 in Hg, 753.8 Torr, 14.576 psi, (down from 1006 last night), 64% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 27th of February 2020 Brillo popped in a lot, LM disagreed with him over some comestible, NF remembered to put the bins out, and so did LM.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: someone waffling about tax followed by someone waffling about history. <click>
Bored. Now. Book. Other book. Other other book. Finished book.
Discovering Robert Reiner. "Stand by Me", "Spinal Tap", "Harry met Sally", "Misery" etc.
Tea: chilli con carne etc. Nice enough: Morrisons version this time. Bit more kick than the Tesco, but that might be due to the added chilli powder.
Entertainment: PM <click> Must be broken: no mention of Andrew Saxe Coburg Gotha.
.
The Nazi programme.
The Oak Island Nutjobbery: investigations into the piece of chain they found last week.
