Sainsbury's has been gone to, so I am now OK for food again
I usually am, but I'd been deliberately running down stocks on the basis that I'd have plenty of time to go shopping and cook stuff once I was on holiday, with vague plans to try a number of new recipes. Being too ill to do so until now meant that I've been left eating mostly the same old stuff in dwindling supply
Anyway, I got the latest Viz which was the most important thing
And on the way, I stopped off at the self storage place. My previous unit was away down a passage towards the rear of the place, whereas the new one is high up at the front, so the way to it from the lift takes one along a glass frontage which offers excellent views right across the city to Charnwood Forest and Bradgate Park beyond. I can see myself dawdling around up there admiring the scenery for a bit whenever I drop a box off

Busy morning. Was lazing in bed around 9am when the phone rang. I have an interview! Lots of prep therefore ensued while I wait for the date/time to be confirmed. The role focus has been rejigged so I need to make sure I give the right spin to any examples.
Also got a call from the consultancy I was working with earlier this year, asking me if I'd go back on a part time basis. They will have to await the outcome of this interview but it's good to have a back up option.

Lunch: Heinz tomato soup with white toast
In fact, there aren't many other options left which is one of the reasons why I'd like to go to Sainsbury's this afternoon, assuming the occasional waves of tiredness permit
Need to get the new Viz too, as that came out a week ago when I was at the wedding

Me: *suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of extreme weariness that came out of nowhere*

Morning denizens
There's patchy cloud out, currently seeming to move towards clearer skies, though apparently that decision will be reversed and it'll cloud over properly around mid-morning then clear again towards sunset. No rain expected, though they keep saying that and it keeps happening, equinoctial weather being what it is. it's not a warm start again, being 8°C, and not a warm middle either with an expected high of 13°. The barometers are up but still avoiding extremes at 1002/1010mB
The lurgy is also ambivalent, being definitely still here but also somewhat diminished in scope. But that's after a very solid night's sleep (even though I forgot to take any paracetamol at bedtime), and the great weariness and general misery feels like an ever-present threat should I overexert myself
I want to go to Sainsbury's though, as I'm starting to run short of a few bits, and on the way I can pop into the self-storage place. Although I was able to rent the unit online and have an access code to let myself in, I'm supposed to go and show my ID to the manager in person within seven days, and as it's on the way to Big Sainsbury's, I can kill two birds with one stone. Might even stuff a couple of boxes in the boot to get things moving, though I think they'll be light ones for now

Morning.
Thursday.
Damp.
Grey.
Wanly sunny.
Chilly in here at 16 deg, 17 deg in the kitchen, 13.5 deg in the leanto.
1012.5 mBar, 29.899 in Hg, 759.437 Torr, 14.685 psi, (up from 1010 last night), 70% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 11th of November 2019 the Oak Island nutjobbery was still watched, it not having palled due to abject boredom with seeing yet more fecking wood or the moron with the metal detector finding "Roman" "ballista bolts". .
Walk (unabbreviated) walked, during which the wan sunshine was replaced by a downpour, replaced, in turn, by blue skies & sunshine. Still chilly.
Lunch: there was.

CBS, etc, but, as one of our esteemed brethren would put it, King Billy.
6C when we went out at 6am, and Max even had his torch on.

Must be getting a little better, as I managed to focus on the TV for longer tonight
First up, the two parts of the new 24 Hours in Police Custody: Murder on Prescription investigating the fatal stabbing of a disabled woman in Wisbech. This was interesting but my God, Wisbech seems to be an unutterably bleak place, blighted by poverty and drugs
And as I wasn't yet exhausted, I ventured upon S1E1 of Jessica Jones, A.K.A. Ladies Night (TV Episode 2015). It seems pretty good, so I may even remember to watch the rest of them
But I'm knackered now. Still don't feel quite as bad as I have been, but even watching telly really takes it out of me
Goodnight all

Tea: twirly pasta bol
Not much of the twirly pasta left now. Might get a different shape next time

Contemplating the reality of having to clear the parental home within two weeks, I've finally accepted that I shouldn't have got rid of the storage unit when I moved here
It doesn't help that I've failed to sort out any of the boxes that were in there since bringing them here
Anyway, I've just rented it (well, one in the same place) again. The theory is that I'll move the numerous boxes currently cluttering the place down there, which will give me enough room for the stuff from the house, and also space to get things rearranged. It's more like a badly-made 3D sliding block puzzle at the moment, which is why nothing gets done about it. Once the flat's sorted, I can then see about dealing with all that stuff.
Their prices have gone up by a fair bit in the last couple of years, which I'm hoping will encourage me to sort out the boxes over the next few months. We shall see

Hail!
I had popped out for a catch up with a chap from a consultancy and got home in the nick of time.
