Another day done. I thought that I'd get to help out some other guys on something which, though possibly not hugely interesting, would at least keep me occupied. But the chaps who needed to tell me what it was about and what needed doing etc. got bogged down on some big problem, during which they weren't responding to any messages. Then the consultancy that the rest of them are with had one of their meetings. So in the end, I didn't have anything to do until mid-afternoon when one of them was finally able to get me helping with something

Still having bouts of fatigue. But managed to fix a few issues for customer. Coldish (8) here, and wet.

    Pass the cyanide, xoggoth.

Funny. Had a rotten nights sleep last night and not tired at all today. Yesterday felt tired after a good night.

Think everything one reads about health is rubbish. Going to stop sleeping and just lie about all day and live on a diet of alcohol and cyanide. Should live to be 120.

Darn it! Me little van failed the MOT. Hopefully will all be repaired today. Nice local walk but woods I used to wander in all fenced off now. B***ds!

Coffee looked/tasted bit odd this morning. I'd dropped a tea bag in the kettle. Or was it the evil spirit again?

    Morning all

Dull but there's gaps in the clouds. Damp. Currently 9 degrees with a high of 10 expected. The gaps in the clouds may become more pronounced as the day progresses although it'll never quite reach "sunny" status. Barometer steady at 1012 mBar.

    Three coffees had so far.

    Morning.

    Monday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky in parts.

Chilly in here at 14.3 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen, 12 deg in the leanto.

1010.5 mBar, 29.84 in Hg, 757.9373 Torr, 14.656 psi, (up from 1007 last night), 64% RH (Lidl electric).

This morning's dream before waking involved designing something with a microcontroller, losing the databook, then wandering around a park where the paths were being raked. Really odd. Another nightmare job.

Meanwhile on the 6th of December 2019 I was still after the 's flu jab, it was generally wet as indicated by WTFH's filthy dog walk, BR14 was woken early by someone starting a compressor & an angle grinder next door at the inconsiderate time of 08:30, and covbob celebrated the deluge, with LM having a slight rant at her then current client, no doubt brought on by being woken by "Today" & having to get out of bed to turn it off, whereas NF discovered that his dental appointment was in December rather than the January he'd expected. I hate it when that happens.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. Plenty of Glengettie tea today.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine: timed to a tee since it's raining now.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y. TWATO, much whining about triggering women. . FFS.

Freecell score in the grey gloom: 85%, running average: 80%.

A bit of drizzle on the walk earlier, then it cleared up and while the sun is shining, there's also menacing clouds to the north and west.

    Morning denizens

Patchy cloud out, tending more towards cloud, leading to a refulgent red-gold dawn. It's expected to remain cloudy, but no rain is expected. Currently 7°C (but "feels like" 2°) with a possible high of 10°, and the barometers are down a bit more to 997/1005mB

This morning saw the usual glut of Monkey Life

This afternoon, the Canadian and NZ stuff was all things that have been repeated ad nauseam, so I spent some time mucking about with SwiftUI and Bluesky again

And this evening, as well as more Swift bits, an old 24 Hours in A&E

Monday again tomorrow. Only two more weeks, or eight days, to go till I finish for the year…

    Goodnight all

It turned sunny this afternoon, but of course it then set almost immediately

As it's the first Sunday of Advent, it's the correct date for putting up the Christmas tree. I've never had one but my parents' one was passed along to me so I just assembled it and hung some baubles (which had been kept in an old Roses tin, as is traditional) on it

Then I put it back in the corner where it had been sitting in pieces in a bag since it arrived, as I can't be bothered to sort out a place for it to be prominently displayed right now. There are fairy lights in the bag too, so I suppose I'll have to find it a space where they can be plugged in

    Afternoon all

Overcast. Damp. Currently 13 degrees and that's the high for the day. The sun might make an appearance before it sets. Barometer down to 1012 mBar.

Last night HWMBO and I went to The White Horse in Mayfair for a champagne and English sparkling wine tasting. We then took a walk to Nipperkin and had some very fine cocktails there. Ended the evening with dinner at Bebe Bob in Soho. A long lie in was required this morning.
