In sorting through the assorted left overs HWMBO deposited in the fridge, I decided that I needed to use up some bacon and accompany it with an egg. So that was what I had for a late lunch.
Not much had to be disposed of, and some of it was still suitable for freezing.
Meanwhile on the 8th of February 2020 Brillo & BR14 popped in, NF was in the Chinese which was very nice, and I watched "Highlander" and "The Omega Man" for want of anything better, whilst NF was finding it windier and had turned off the soup to let it cool.
Washing frenzy in progress (with added 60 deg wash to turn that little red light off).
Shopping trip to Aldi and Tesco.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about how expensive HE is these days, merely accommodation costing £10k/yr (as opposed to the £270/yr I paid back in Ye Mysts of Tyme & all that, back then we didn't know what "tuition fees" were, though I did pay £4 for my first year of HNC. However the 2nd year was £140 after Harold Wilson got elected).
Shirts & those cottons requiring it met the iRon & are airing upstairs.
Feck me it's close today.
Tea: Mr Brains faggots with peas & such.
Entertainment: PM with much mention of the Orange Micropenised Moron.
Might watch that Jason Statham thing this evening. For a Guy Ritchie film it wasn't bad.
Overcast. Dull. Currently 19 degrees ('feels like' 25) with a high of 23 expected. Possibility of rain before brightening up later. Barometer down to 1021 mBar.

A short week this week, on account of that wedding on Wednesday. At least the forecast has improved a bit.
Picking up loony lady 1 from Gatwick North terminal this afternoon. I hate that place, always get lost and feel I'm in a horror movie. As usual, just did much better at SAGA crossword than at the so-called quick crossword.
Grey day out, and things seem to be cooling down this week. It's 18°C and the expected high is a mere 21°, with highs of 19° expected midweek. The barometers are down a bit to 1011/1019mB
I discovered this morning that there was no wholemeal bread for my toast - well, rediscovered, as I was aware of this but had forgotten to make any more. So annoying was this that I got the breadmaker working on a loaf before I even started brewing my coffee
Morning all
Short (6km) walk this morning due to Max and I not wanting to get out of bed.
Overcast, looking like it could rain, but none forecast.
In the TV world, currently catching up on Season 1 of The Gone, since S2 is out now. Also really enjoying Annika.
Tonight I started reading The Rewind Files by Claire Willett, in which a junior agent of the US Time Travel Bureau has to travel back in time from 2112 to fix an anomaly that had caused the Third World War to happen in the 1980s because Watergate had never happened and it should have
Monday again tomorrow, but I've got one more week off!
While scoffing that, I watched the rest of the OceanGate documentary on Netflix. Always a bad idea to give your company a name that sounds like a scandal
^^ The Jupiter-Venus thing was mentioned on The Sky at Night. I thought it may have already passed as they said the closest they'd be seen together would be on 10 August (this was the show aired in July). Before gradually moving apart.
They aren't ultra close now, but still pretty close
Sunny and cloudless out, though it looks as if there's a bit of a haze. Another warm but tolerable day, being at 20°C now and not getting past 24° later. The barometers are down a bit at 1014/1021mB
