Meanwhile on the 3rd of January 2020 it was dry, notsocold, but even so the library computer room was largely empty (things to come, things to come), NF had a restless night's sleep due to prior watching of Spiral, WTFH had a mention on Poke (whatever that is) and covbob was "WFH" because the inlaws had arrived. NF was contemplating a visit to Lidl(tm) since he was currently short of a rubber boat.

4 bags of moss extracted from the lawn once I'd persuaded the lawn rake to work again following its long sojourn in the garage.
Tea: chilli con carne with rice. This was rather nicer than Monday's having festered in the fridge with added paprika and hot chilli pepper.
Sunny start again, but with the chilliness that comes with open skies: currently 1°C, having been cold enough earlier for what appears to be a slight frostiness to form on the cars. It'll warm up though, reaching 13° this afternoon. The barometers are down some more at 1010/1018mB
I managed to find the energy this evening to do some SwiftUI+SpriteKit stuff, which went really well
And later in Mesopotamia, science! The development of astronomy and mathematics went so well that they could predict eclipses, which isn't bad going; but they also formulated complex notions of divination by examination of sheep entrails, which isn't so widely used nowadays
