Meanwhile on the 18th of February 2020 Brillo popped in, as did LM, WTFH (and his non furry pita bread), NF, and eek (whose daughter had an interview at some uni or other 90 minutes earlier than she'd expected), whilst NF wondered why there were no sardines in brown sauce.

Shopping trip from Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

It's a clear blue sky but on the chilly side here at 6°C, though the sun will supposedly warm it up to 14° for a few hours this afternoon. The barometers are up to 1016/1024mB, and the weather is expected to continue in much the same dry and mainly sunny vein for the rest of the week

Monday again tomorrow. A lot of the team are heading to London, as Tuesday is the big annual conference thing that I've managed to avoid every year, either by being in-between projects or by claiming pressure of work. Neither of those apply this year, so I just told them I'm not going and left it at that

Tea has been chicken thighs, roasted with herbs and spices, and chips. I've managed to come up with some not particularly nice variations on this theme before now, but today's effort was very tasty

Meanwhile on the 18th of February 2020 BR14 and Churchill popped in, along with LM, WTFH, and NF, whereas in the library, it being half term or something, it was LEGO day. . But not, as it transpired, for very many more weeks. Whilst elsewhere it was merely cold, here, as per, it was cold and wet.

Very good idea doing that before attempting to change the battery in a watch.

I've never previously encountered one that you have to disassemble out of the case to access the cell, then unclip the metal cell retainer.

It's very lucky it's still in one piece, the waterproofness is now doubtful.

The irritation level is sky high especially since one of the buttons wouldn't work until I'd taken the fecking thing in & out of the case 7 or 8 times.

Date isn't right but feck it, the time is close enough.

I seem to have lost much of the fine motor control of yore. .

Lots of wildlife stuff today as usual

Tonight, I started reading The Andromeda Anthology by Fred Hoyle and John Elliot, being A for Andromeda and The Andromeda Breakthrough in one volume. I vaguely remember getting A for Andromeda out of the library when I was about fourteen, but don't remember anything much about it. Of course, I'm too young to have seen the original 1961 TV series!

There's been quite a lot of rain in the last hour, but it seems to have eased off a bit now. I noticed it was getting quite windy too
