It's turned quite sunny again now, with lots of big white fluffy bits, after the darkness and torrents earlier. A little while ago there were no fewer than eight pigeons browsing about on the lawn, along with the two magpies that seem to be nesting in one of the conifers, the blackbird couple from the hedge, and one of the squirrels

I bunked off early for lunch and popped over to my formerly local bank branch, where I was able to pay the incorrectly shaped cheque in at the machine

And then down to Sainsbury's where the shopping was done just ahead of the lunchtime rush. I also remembered to take a couple of bags for the clothes recycling, one of which I've been repeatedly tripping over for the last few weeks, so that's a weight off the mind

Home, and lunch: sausages in finger rolls

But it was leftover cold sausages from earlier in the week, not the M&S ones I like for that purpose. I need to walk down the hill into town some time and do an M&S shop

And now it's suddenly got very dark outside and torrential rain has muscled in alongside the already strong winds

Greetings from sunny Sofia where its 21 degrees and sunny.

Had a nice stay in the Hilton Garden Inn at T2 followed by an early start to get our 0745 flight. Just arrived at the Intercontinental Sofia and I have to say, so far, it's lovely. Very nice room.

Said pcbs were drilled & assembled & tested over the following couple of days and have resided unregarded in a cardboard box in the junk room ever since. Plus la change as those Frenchies are wont to say.

I woke rather early due to a most unpleasant dream involving someone chained to a railway locomotive. The Spirit of Gricer was strong in this dream. .

Changed to go out for a walk.

Since it wasn't raining and next door's car wasn't in the carport the replacing of the ends of two joists took place. Should have made the 2nd one longer since the bit I joined it onto was also more or less rotten in parts. Ho hum.

Despite wearing protective glasses I've managed to get sawdust in my left eye. .

Lunch: scrambled egg and poached tomato on Morrisons sunflower and pumpkin seed toast, bramble jelly and marmalade on 3 slices of same, yellow corner yog, 0.91*1.51 pints of good Glengettie tea.

LS diff, changed the front drum brakes for Capri vented discs and struts (why didn't he use a spring compressor? and those bushes in the track control arms looked terminally fecked), replaced one of the front wings, replaced the seats, retrimmed the rear seats, painted it banana yellow to piss off Brewer , added a brake servo & dual circuit master cylinder, changed the interior for one that wasn't trashed.

Looks to be MOT free and taxed.
