In Andromeda Breakthrough, it seems that Andromeda may be able to fulfil her mission (whatever that may be) after all, but it also looks as if climate change might beat her to the punch

And in my mucking around with RealityKit, I've managed to get it to save a scene to a file. This one is just a random assortment of brightly coloured spheres, cubes, and cylinders scattered across a 100mx100m area, because that was quick and easy to do. And I'm still a bit unclear on the file format it's using. But at least it shows that it's possible to generate stuff and save it, suggesting that I can move on to loading and editing said stuff

    Goodnight all

I haven't looked yet - I'll be checking it in a few minutes

Tea has been oniony chicken casserole with chips and peas

And this was accompanied by yet more fare dodgers. None of them ever seem to come up with anything original. Then again, I suppose of they did, they wouldn't get caught

    Another day done

There wasn't much going on really. We tidied up a couple of loose ends on the thing we've been doing, then set it loose on a test server for the end users to check. I spent the last hour or so of the day updating the accessibility statement. This was, of course, provided in Word format, so I had to pull all the text out and go through it to manually mark it up as HTML like it was 1997

It remained fairly bright until around lunchtime, but it's properly clouded over now

Lunch has been a cold sausage bap (white)

I wasn't going to have sausages for the third day in a row, but they involved minimal effort

    Morning.

    Monday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 17 deg, 15.5 in the kitchen, 13.5 in the leanto, 8.6 in the saltinghouse.

    Washing frenzy in progress.

Walk (towpath, unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. No butterflies on the ivy flowers.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: R4 book thing. Noon o'clock news. Y&Y <click>

Those items requiring the iRon have received it & are airing upstairs.

Minor potching with the mains feed down to the garage: the 20mm supports replaced by 22 mm supports to test the theory that the conduit will do better if it's free to slide when the sun's out.

The newly acquired battery strimmer has strimmed parental and grandparental graves reasonably successfully. This is an addition to the two strimmers (mains) that I already possess. .

    Washing frenzy complete.

Tea: Mr Brains faggots with peas & suchlike. Nice enough.

    Morning denizens

It's a sunny start with a clear blue sky, though apparently that'll all go to pot by about 9am and it'll be cloudy, or at least partly cloudy, for the rest of the day. Cool start at 6°C but it'll soar all the way to 16° later. The barometers are already soaring, being up to 1014/1022mB

Didn't do much today, but I watched a few Apple Developer videos to get a better idea of all the moving parts in RealityKit, and how they're supposed to fit together

Monday again tomorrow. It's sprint end/start week so there'll be lots of meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday; tomorrow will probably just be finishing off what we've been working on - though there's a good chance the other dev will have already done that when she was left in peace on Friday

    Goodnight all
