A bedding wash is on
It turns out to be a bit of a day for bedding, as DPD turned up just now with a delivery from John Lewis: 1600 thread count Egyptian cotton fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases. Oh, and a cashmere throw for a bedspread. This little lot cost me just over a grand, and is a Christmas present to myself

You missed out the word "billable".
She didn't say she'd be working 7 days a week.

Afternoon denizens
It’s a rainy grey day, and expected to continue so. Quite mild at 10°C (“feels like” 7°) and aiming for 11° shortly. The barometers have gone back down to 987/994mB

Heavy rainy stuff, got soaked coming back from Mahjong thing this morning. Darn it, there's a leak in my conservatory roof. Must have been leaking for some time as one of the cushions is going green with algae.

One gig secured for 2026. Waiting on confirmation of a second. I have a hunch the director of ConsultancyCo is out of the office which is annoying as they've also not approved my November invoice for payment and that's due at the end of the month during the company's Christmas shut down.
