Hah. 18 expected here. Bright blue skies.
Just had my leave request refused for my colleagues funeral. Because it's paid leave.

Morning all
Sunny! Currently 10 degrees with a high of 17 expected. barometer down to 1016 mBar.
Sunrise 06:55; Sunset 17:34 GMT
Lazy day today as I'd planned the day off. Not sure what to do with the unplanned free afternoon. I did book a holiday to Cádiz yesterday evening and then realised it clashed with a theatre trip. So some of today will be spent working out what's the easiest of the two to move.

Morning.
Wednesday.
Grey.
Sunless.
Dry.
NotSoChilly in here at 14.3 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen (thermometer display is now faulty), 13 deg in the leanto (classic alcohol thermometer: display not faulty and it doesn't need a battery).
1009 mBar, 29.796 in Hg, 756.8 Torr, 14.63 psi, (up from 1007 last night), 68% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 18th of March 2020 Brillo, quackhandle, WTFH, LM, and I popped in. (i.e. same as yesterday).

Another misty one here, currently 10C feels like 9C. Dawn chorus was in full flow at 6:15 and even with the mist neither of us needed torches.

Morning denizens
Cloudy start, but gaps are starting to open up so it looks like we’ll be getting sunny spells. The mild-but-breezy circumstances persist: it’s 10°C which “feels like” 6°, with an expected high of 14°. The barometers are trivially down at 1002/1010mB

Yet more of Peace and War read. I was a bit ambivalent about Forever Peace to start with, but it’s developing in intriguing ways

Tea has been a pork chop off the market, with chips and beans
And to go with it, another episode of the motorway cops, who once again are occasionally going on a motorway. There aren’t so many unrelated dashcam clips in this series either

It’s cleared up some more here, so it’s sunny even though I’ve just finished work! I’d shut the blinds in the study a couple of hours ago when the sun started dazzling me, so I was quite surprised to walk into the living room and see bright sunlight on the trees out there, rather than a gloomy dark evening

Old arty farty thing this morning, took along what art magazines I could rescue from the damp after me neighbour left them for me in the wrong place. Walky afterwards, what a lovely sunny and quite warm afternoon! Stopped in at little cafe with nice view and had a a chat with a nice youngish lady.

Morning all
There was some blue sky peeking through the cloud about 10 mins ago, but that's gone now. Currently 12 degrees ('feels like' 10) with a high of 13 expected. Some showers forecast, the sun might reappear this afternoon. Barometer up to 1018 mBar.
Sunrise 06:57; Sunset 17:33 GMT
Yesterday evening I received notification that our tickets to see QI being filmed at BBC Studios, Wood Lane, had been cancelled. Apparently the size of the audience had been cut and they decided those who had applied last were the ones to lose out. As I'd planned to have tomorrow off, I see no point in working it.

Morning.
Tuesday.
Damp.
Wanly sunny.
Grey.
Chilly in here at 13.8 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen (thermometer is dying), 12 deg in the leanto, 12 deg in the saltinghouse.
1010 mBar, 29.83 in Hg, 757.6 Torr, 14.65 psi, (down from 1011 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 18th of March 2020 Brillo, quackhandle, WTFH, LM, and I popped in.
Washing frenzy in progress.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the 11:45 thing: which led inevitably to:
https://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/67...t-made-up.html
. Hell of a way to win a raffle.
.
Walk (unabbreviated, towpath, leather jacket) walked in the bright sunshine & unseasonably warm weather. Actually raised a sweat.
.
Washing dried on the line: that requiring the iRon received it, all airing upstairs now.
Tea: soup etc. Entertainment: PM until some septic MAGA toerag started praising the energy of the Orange Mother****er: the only reason he doesn't sleep at night is because he's demented & becoming more so every day. However the
looks after his own so no doubt he'll stick around like tulipe to a blanket until WWIII starts looking like a blessed relief.

Misty earlier, but by about 6:20 that was burning off and the dawn chorus was under way. Neither Max nor I needed a torch on. 10C, feels like 9, no wind apart from the cabbage from last night's dinner.

It’s fairly cloudy out, with said cloud being lower and thicker than yesterday, though still layered somewhat if you look over to the horizon; there are areas of blue sky between the clumps moving overhead at a steady pace, implying there’s still a bit of a breeze. The current 10°C “feels like” 5° and the expected high is 13°, while the barometers are back up a touch at 1003/1011mB
