Well, that's been quite an enjoyable and productive morning!
I'm not usually that keen on "pairing" for programming tasks. But the other dev understands the rather complex and occasionally ramshackle system we're working on much better than I do, so it's the only viable option a lot of the time, or at least makes more sense than me badgering her with questions as I try to work on one thing while she's trying to work on something else. She was the one operating the keyboard while I tried to offer helpful suggestions and talk through complicated bits yesterday, so today the roles have been reversed, and it's been working very well for us

Morning.
Tuesday?
Dry.
Grey.
Sunless.
Cool in here at 18.1 deg, 18 in the kitchen, 17 in the leanto.
1018.75 mBar, 30.08 in Hg, 764.1 Torr, 14.7757 psi, (down from 1019 and a bit last night), 64% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 21st of February 2020 BR14, Brillo, and AndyGarbs popped in, LM suggested Brillo should burn his socks, I was in with the hoi polloi and NF mentioned the previous day's mundane washing.
Walk (unabbreviated, towpath), walked in the grey gloom.
Shopping trip to Aldi done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. Easier to find the needful buyings this time, though stocks seemed a bit limited so I bought all I could find.
No covid jab for me this year. Well there's a thing.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; Today, 11:39.

There was some blue sky earlier but the clouds covered it up. Currently 14 degrees with a high of 18 expected. Barometer up to 1025 mBar.
Sunrise 07:12; Sunset 18:25 BST
Nothing noteworthy planned for the day.

Morning denizens
It's a grey sort of day, though the high cloud layer appears fairly thin; altostratus, I think it may be. Still not as cold as it might have been at 11°C ("feels like" 8°) with an expected high of 17° this afternoon. The barometers are up a touch at 1011/1019mB

I finished The Andromeda Strain. It's good but the film is basically exactly the same story, so there weren't many surprises in it
And then I started reading Random Acts of Senseless Violence by Jack Womack. It's written as the diary of a twelve year old girl from New York, recording the gradual collapse of civil order in the USA as a society wracked by division and inequality descends into violence; so basically a guide to what's going to happen over there in the next few months
Goodnight all

A positive catch up with one of the directors of CosultancyCo today. More work, not less, coming my way. There was me thinking I ought to start looking for another gig.
A new cover for my garden bench arrived and it fits perfectly. Now the waiting game to find out if it's actually waterproof.
The last episode of High Potential season 1 was a good one! I need to acquire more of S2 before I start watching it.

Tea: caramelised onion sausages with chips and beans
And to go along with it, a bit of the traffic cops on motorbicycles
Before that, I did a bit of work on a WordPress plugin for somebody. This is the first time I've tried writing one of those in about fifteen years, so it was fairly slow going and a lot of tabs had to be opened at various pages of the docs. But I've got an admin page showing up now, so I can see about getting it to actually do some stuff

Not a bad day today, mainly pairing with the other dev. We had a fairly intense coding session this afternoon and, having got tests passing and so on, she decided to knock off at half four! Fine by me

Only a month until TPD's 20th birthday
How should we mark that momentous occasion?

Leftover chilli here for lunch - a nice mix of meat and three bean. Middle child has gone vegetarian which means nice leftovers several times per week now.

Lunch has been a bit of leftover spicy lamb and onion starter from Saturday
Quite sunny here, though there's some banks of white cloud about the place
