    Morning denizens

Clear blue sky for the most part, with just a band of high wispy stuff a long way to the south. It’s quite breezy too, which is helping to get cooler air circulating through the flat. Currently 23°C out there and it’s only getting up to 28°, so high but not as unbearable as it has been. The barometers are up a bit more at 1015/1022mB

    Morning all

A bit cloudy with a breeze. Weather app says there are no clouds and there will be none today. Currently 23 degrees ('feels like' 25) with a high of 29 expected. Barometer up to 1024 mBar.

    Sunrise 04:58; Sunset 21:15 BST

Much cooler night with a good breeze wafting about.

    Off to see Mum today.

    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

24.1 deg in here, 26 in the kitchen, 24 in the leanto, 26 in the front bedroom, 21 out the back, 23 in the saltinghouse.

1014.6 mBar, 29.96 in Hg, 761 Torr, 14.72 psi, (up from 1013 last night), 61% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 1st of April 2020 Brillo popped in a lot whilst BR14 and covbob managed a post in edgeways.

Noticed this morning that there are tiny seeds on the bedroom window, I suspect they're ash, blown in on the breeze overnight.

Having consulted The Fount of All Knowledge (shortly before it renames itself as "Skynet"), I can confirm that a) they are seeds and b) they are certainly not ash tree seeds.

Walk (abbreviated, 2 miles) walked in the unbearable heat and nice breeze.

In an unexpected turnup for the book, I met JohnTheBike, late of this board, for the first time. Had a nice chat. Seems like an ok guy, worked on big iRon back in the day.

Had a stroll down the garden on my return & had a chat with her next door but one & her other half, covering all sorts of topics, including my new niece. And the wonders of vaccination against HPV. I managed not to comment on how it is likely to reduce the risks of throat cancer induced by muff diving. Twas a close run thing though.

On the walk the large stand of ragwort with associated caterpillars (2) has now been mown away, which is sad.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: anything other than DiTiDi, Tom me old pal, me old beauty.

There was watery wildlife on the telly this afternoon

Tonight, I read a bit more of Ra as I was more in the mood for that than Eve Babitz’s tales of life in Hollywood

    Goodnight all

Much laundry was washed, dried, and put away. The bed was made as items came in from the garden.

I've left HWMBO watching the football. He says he's not staying up for the 2am match.

Tea tonight was brought from a Chinese restaurant in town. Very nice, and they were doing 2-for-1 on crispy duck so there are leftovers

It’s in the same premises that used to be Janet’s restaurant before she had the takeaway near the old flat

It’s a sunny day, again, but the drift towards slightly more bearable temperatures starts today! It’s just reached today’s peak of 28°C which is as high as it’ll be for a week, though it’ll still be in the upper-to-middle twenties until next weekend, after which it’ll drop to the very low twenties. It’s breezier too, which will help with moving the warmer air out of the place. The barometers are still being rather contrarian, having risen to 1011/1019mB

A few wisps here and there and a bit of a breeze ruffling the tree tops. Currently 28 degrees with a high of 30 expected. Barometer up to 1021 mBar.

Lazy morning. The bed has been stripped and left to air. Hopefully I can get it all laundered and dried before bedtime.

Managed to under season an omelette I made for breakfast, and I was too lazy to go back into the kitchen to fix it. Disappointing.
