
Tonight, I finished reading Just a Shot Away in which the Hells Angel who killed Meredith Hunter at Altamont was tried and found not guilty, presumably because he was white and his victim was black. Meanwhile, the film Gimme Shelter was completed and released. And so the Sixties came to an end

I see it’s going to be unpleasantly hot again this week. It’s only just got back to normal in here!

. 2nd hand tractors sent over by the septics in WWII that replaced the heavy horses. Combine harvesters. The machine that makes those big round bales of straw. How modern wheat is much shorter than the old wheat and how the combine leaves most of the straw on the field so it's either burned or baled.
