Tea has been lamb rogan josh and pilau rice, courtesy of Saturday’s takeaway. There’s one onion bhaji left, and then it’ll finally be finished

This was accompanied by part 2 of the Three Mile Island thing on Netflix. Lot of nuclear power problems on the box at the moment

You need to worry when it says "Come with me if you want to live" or "Hasta la vista, baby". .

My Rover 90 P4 never did any of that: then again the only active devices were the radio valves in the HMV (Radiomobile) Wireless. .

Lunch continues to be leftovers from the generous portions of Saturday's Indian takeaway: a couple of pieces of chicken tikka, and another onion bhaji

    Morning.

    Monday.

    Dry but picking with rain.

    Grey.

    Misty.

    Sunless.

NotSoChilly in here at 14 deg, 12.5 deg in the kitchen, 12 deg in the leanto.

1011.5 mBar, 29.87 in Hg, 758.7 Torr, 14.67 psi, (down from 1012 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 17th/18th of March 2020 AndyGarbs, Brillo, WTFH, NF and I popped in, whilst Churchill's mum was taken into hospital with cold sepsis.

Shopping trip to Morrisons, since the sun was out, duly washed dried sanitised & put away. It started picking to rain on the way back.

Apparently my dear nephew has started wearing a dress. . WTAF?

His mother is equally baffled. . Snip snip & bob's yer auntie as we said back in the day. He's out of my will anyway over that fecking tree.

Tea: chicken in white sauce etc. Nice enough if you don't think about the poor chicken(s). Entertainment: PM.

Oak Island nutjobbery: S11 E24 "Hairy situation". The hairy rock one. .

NCIS S22 E6 "Knight and Day". Dunno how this season keeps getting high scores since the stories are mediocre at best.

A very pleasant 9C out with no wind, no rain and just some high level cloud.
Head torch not needed from 6:40 on our walk

    Morning denizens

Another day of very thin, high cloud. Less scattered than yesterday, though fairly patchy, and the sun is managing to appear pretty bright through it. It’s windy again too, so the current 8°C “feels like” 0° and presumably the expected high of 11° will also be attenuated. Chance of rain this evening and, though the temperature will dip for a couple of hours after sunset, it will then rise again, so it’ll still be 11° at midnight. The barometers are down some more at 999/1007mB

There was some more wildlife stuff on the box earlier

Later I watched the rest of the Fukushima thing

And then I read some more of Peace and War. It turns out Forever Peace isn’t part of the same story as the other two, which involved the same characters and so on; according to the author, it was more a way of exploring the same ideas from a different perspective and with the benefit of twenty years of hindsight. It’s good though

Monday again tomorrow. Six weeks until Easter

    Goodnight all

The drive to Sussex was soggy with much rain. Quick journey though. The return trip was in lovely afternoon sunshine, also a quick journey.

Today is margarita day so HWMBO has made delicious margaritas to accompany dinner.

Tea has been the beef short ribs braised in Guinness, with chips and peas. It turned out exceptionally well! Absolutely delicious

Damn it! Should have done my wet walk later, it's been quite nice and bright for nearly an hour. Dropped in at village club, none of the people I know were there again, not sure I'll bother anymore.
