
More of George Sherston has been read this evening. He spent a hunting season in Leicestershire, but then war came in the summer of 1914. Having spent a few months in the ranks of the yeomanry and ended up with a broken arm for his trouble, he's spent the following season as a trainee infantry officer at a camp in Litherland, an industrial suburb of Liverpool which was also partly rural at the time
