Morning.
Wednesday.
Damp.
Grey.
Dreary.
Sunless.
Cool in here at 19.6 deg, 20.5 in the kitchen, 18 in the leanto.
998 mBar, 29.47 in Hg, 748.6 Torr, 14.4748 psi (down from 1002 last night), 67% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile onthe 29th of March 2020 AndyGarbs popped in a lot, LM detailed skip charges for the parking bay outside her flat, WTFH popped in, and I turned the heating on briefly & roasted some beef, whereas NF suggested Brillo turned his car on and off to see if it made the clock work.
Awake at 06:20. Dream before waking was a work one: much use of the term "mother****er" happened in this dream. Can't remember a dream like that previously.

In The Middle Kingdoms, the Great War has made a right mess of everything. Hungary, which had seceded from Austria-Hungary, had the distinction of being the last of the Central European states to surrender in 1918. This was also its first official act as an independent nation
Goodnight all

Tea has been spag bol, which I’ve been meaning to make for ages but kept forgetting to
Nice sunny evening now, with young magpies ditzing around under the rose bushes

Thunderstorm here too! But it started with distant rumblings about thirty minutes ago, passed over us with heavy rain, and has already gone. Looks like the sun’s about to come out now!
Today was one of those days where I identified a bug first thing, had to leave it to do something else, then had to get something else sorted out in the middle of that, and eventually got back to the original bug in the last hour. But it’s fixed now and all the other stuff went OK, so it’s been a very productive day really

But I'm sure it was my voice, sounded like me. Darn it! I must be dead!Ghosts! That there is classic EVP evidence
Maybe find out the cause when I get round to replacing my Win 10 PC with my new 11 PC. Looks yuck down there among all those wires, lots of dust and cobwebs.Last edited by xoggoth; Yesterday, 15:22.

The clouds cleared and we had a bit of sunshine for a while. Now it's come over all gloomy and I can hear thunder in the distance.
EDIT: and now it's raining again (I could sing a song about that)
EDIT2: thunder AND lightning, directly overhead!Last edited by ladymuck; Yesterday, 13:37.

I turned my PC off and turned off all the wall sockets and the speaker was still doing the muttering sounds. Was obviously a recording of me but how was it playing?????

Lunch has been leftover chicken chow mein, quickly refried in the wok
Using the wok is good because it forces me to tidy up anything left lying around on the wok burner side of the hob, as I’m convinced the massive flame will set fire to it if I don’t
The rain has passed on its way and although it’s mostly cloudy, there’s the occasional glimmer of sunshine getting through the gaps. And there’s still a bit of a breeze, which the young magpies seem to enjoy swooping around in
This morning was fairly busy as I had some fixes to deploy so the end user(s) can test them, and was also tracking down some issues in the data export work the other dev had almost but not quite completed before she left. She did leave plenty of documentation plus additional notes, but some of it touches stuff I haven’t had much to do with so I have to dig deep to work out whether problems are due to bugs, oversights, or something just not being complete yet
And today’s the day we meet with the stakeholders at lunchtime, where they gave final approval for the thing I’ve been working on for ages to be released! Well, there’s one change to be made: the name. It’s still got the rather technical-sounding name we used while it was being planned and developed, but we’ve finally agreed a more user-friendly name for it, so I shall go and change that now. They’re going to put out some comms this afternoon to let their people know it’s coming, and I’ll release it tomorrow morning

Morning all
Very wet. It has been raining since the early hours in varying levels of enthusiasm (very enthusiastic at the moment). Very little breeze. Currently 16 degrees with a high of 19 expected. Doesn't look to end until bed time. Barometer down to 1003 mBar.
Sunrise 04:49; Sunset 21:10 BST
The rain kept me awake and so did some very disturbing dream which had me coming to with an attempt at calling out as someone tried to attack me.

Morning denizens
Last night’s rain continues, but is expected to peter out in a couple of hours. It’s 15°C (“feels like” 11°) and the expected high is only 18°; the barometers are, as might be expected, down at 990/997mB
This morning has brought confirmation that there are three young magpies! They were just down on the lawn with both parents, being taught how to ignore those two squirrels zooming around over there like idiots and concentrate on pecking at whatever it is they peck at

Morning all
Heavy rain yesterday evening and overnight to the point that the pond is half full (most of the water coming from the summerhouse roof). Have inspected the new shed and it is dry inside.
Sun was out earlier, but there are more dark clouds on the way in.
The garden is appreciating the rain, as are the farmers round here.
