Tea has been beef and Hobgoblin casserole with some of the slightly spicy potato wedges I made last week, and peas
This was accompanied by another ’orrible murder in New York City, this time of a fashion designer killed by her spoilt and sociopathic rich kid boyfriend

On the stroke of 17:00, my phone and watch together sounded the clarion call of an urgent reminder. What important task did I have to do? “Bake bread.” So the bread maker is now at work
I also remembered to put the mundane laundry on a little while ago

Got back home on Saturday and opened my case. First thing I noticed was that my washrag was unzipped. Then I went through the rest of the bag. Either at JNB or at LHR someone had chosen to rifle through the bag. two things are missing: a glove and a battery charger for my main camera. They had also looked at a ceramic dog that we had bought. It was wrapped in white foam which was then held together with lots of tape, forming a large rectangular block. I think someone may have thought it was Colombian Marching Powder as they had taken to the the middle of the foam and removed some of it. Hope they choked when they snorted it.
I contacted BA who want a receipt for a battery charger that is 5 years old. I've no idea where the receipt would be. No receipt, they aren't interested.
Replacement charger is £430.

Laundry has been done.
The floors have had a cursory sweep.
I forgot to put the bins out last night so I didn't need to bring them back in again.

Arty thing this morning. Just doing panagram in DT puzzles, says mice and lice not in word list. Not much point trying to finish it.

Morning all
Cloudy but brightening up. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 21 expected. More sunshine than cloud forecast for the afternoon. Barometer at 1020 mBar.
Sunrise 07:10; Sunset 18:28 BST
This afternoon HWMBO's eldest arrives to stay for a couple of days. It's going to be a bit crowded in my little flat until they both go home on Friday.
Got an update from the agent who I spoke to on Friday - my details are with the client and they will be regularly nagged for a decision.

Entertainment in the grey drizzle: Further Out of Town with Jack Hargreaves & his stepson: Southall horse market where he buys a cart and some harness, checking out fishing conditions for a sea angling competition off the Isle of Lewis, young woman collecting soft shell crabs for bait on the south coast.
Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked. 1 conversation.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: dashcam bollox S4 E
Scottish Islands thing: North Uist, Berneray, Pablay, Opasay. Kirkibest.
Alaska Homestead rescue: yet another nutter one would assume. There's a lot of empty space in SepticLand. Ah. High desert in a box canyon with no water, lots of scree, and cliffs behind the house. 40 acres: 39.5 acres being close to vertical. And Matt was off in Alaska whilst his wife had a baby. And, and the homestead was infested with bears and mountain lions, no cougar in this one.

Foggy start out! Very scenic
It’s relatively mild still, the colder weather having not yet arrived. Currently 14°C and the expected high for the day is 20°, but the barometers are continuing downwards to 1007/1015mB
There's a 15% chance of rain around 23:00 but then more rain expected overnight, and the night’s low of 15° is also tomorrow’s high! So definitely getting a bit chillier

This evening’s viewing was fare dodgers. The chap who always topped up his Oyster card in a shop next to a Tube station in West London but only ever tapped in 45 minutes later at a station in East London hadn’t really thought things through
Later, I continued reading Adulthood Rites. It’s good, but reading about future humans gradually being hybridised by aliens is a bit of a switch from stories of wartime life in Hampstead
Goodnight all

Burger and fries for tea
This was one the TTD burgers that are a bit smaller but have a really nice flavour. I’m out of sesame seed buns so I need to make some; the question is, do I make them smaller to fit one of these burgers, or larger so I can get two in them
