    Morning denizens

Gloomy grey start out, with traces of recent rain and more of the same due. Not very warm either at 6°C but feeling like 2°, with an expected high of 12° late in the afternoon. The barometers are tiptoeing down again at 1002/1010mB

This morning saw the usual Monkey Life but later, the US borders stuff had been on innumerable times before so only lasted a few seconds. Some of the Antipodean policing was newish though, I think

This evening, Inside Porton Down: Britains Secret Weapons Research Facility was quite interesting, though I'm sure they didn't show us the best bits

And I've read Days 3 and 4 of The Siege. Things will be coming to a head soon…

Monday again tomorrow. Could they not just do them every other week, or something?

    Goodnight all

Me and local son not going to visit his twin bro in Leicestershire tomorrow as he's not feeling well. Probably an excuse to avoid ghastly relatives. Bit relieved really as didn't fancy the long drive. Spring or summer would be better anyway. So - lazy day tomorrow, just local son at pub for lunch.

Tea has been the last of the homemade chilli lamb burgers, in a sesame seed bun with fries. Very nice; I must make those burgers again

I'm feeling a bit meh again today. Not sure if it's the lingering effects of the flu vaccine, or yet another benighted lurgy. Probably picked something up at the surgery; they're always full of the diseased

    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Dry.

    Grey.

    Wanly sunny.

Chilly side of cold in here at 14.7 deg, 15 deg in the kitchen, 11 deg in the leanto.

1015 mBar, 29.97 in Hg, 761.3 Torr, 14.72 psi, (up from 1009.5 last night), 63% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 21st of November 2019 it was grey, murky, and chilly, LM was working from home, I was in the library with the hoi polloi, and NF bought the Xmas edition of Viz.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom: road still busier than usual but much quieter than yesterday: how it would cope with the proposed 120 chalet holiday park is debatable. .

Shopping trip to Morrisons done & dusted etc.

    Lunch: there was.

Entertainment: about 10 minutes of Just a Minute. At least it was ISIHAC for which much thanks.

    Freecell score: 80%, running average:78%.

    Tea: soup etc.

    Entertainment: book(s).

    NCIS S5 E18 & E19: the end of Jenny.

Freecell score: 92%, running average: 78%: the 2nd game led to much cursing & swearing before I managed to complete it.

A rather grey start, though it isn't raining and supposedly won't. Not very warm but not frosty either, being 5°C that "feels like" 3°, and expected to reach 10°. The barometers are bouncing back at 1006/1014mB

Lots of Monkey Life and other wildlife stuff as usual today. Looks like things might be building towards a big confrontation between the different families of otters in Singapore

And this evening, a few more chapters of The Siege read, which takes me to the start of Day Three of six

More Monkey Life first thing tomorrow, so I'd better get to sleep

    Goodnight all

I killed two birds with one stone and got some healthy exercise by walking to the kebab shop for tea

There was a slight shower on the way back but it's mainly been quite sunny and rather breezy, as was foretold

    Afternoon all

Dull and damp. Currently 15 degrees with a high of 16 expected. Some spits of rain ongoing and more showers due until early evening. Barometer down to 1005 mBar.

Hungover today. HWMBO made a very nice dinner and we had G&Ts, wine and cocktails over the course of the evening. I have managed to get myself out of bed to drag my sorry arse over to Hackney Wick to look at an art exhibition.

Happy to report that the dire effects of the flu jab have largely receded. Still not 100%, but the stinking headache that developed yesterday lunchtime seems to have gone
