On the subject of crime, I saw the video (the one from just in front of the stage, not the one from further back) of that pro-gun chap getting an extremely brief opportunity to reconsider his views before he was completely exsanguinated. Not a pretty sight, and it was perfectly obvious he must have been dead in seconds, no matter how long it took for that fact to be officially confirmed. It rained this afternoon, then brightened up, then it went gloomy again and seems to be raining some more

Meanwhile, the squirrels are back on their thing of getting conkers from the tree out the back, bringing them along the garden wall, over the roof of some garages, round the end of the adjacent block, across the drive, and out in front of our block where they finally eat them, leaving the remains of the spiky cases scattered around. I have no idea why they do this rather than just eating them where they get them

Despite some unreasonable rain, the builders finished the blockwork and got the first layer of render on top, all while working under a makeshift tarpaulin tent. It's all covered up to protect it overnight and hopefully it'll dry enough for the whatever comes next.

Meanwhile on the 14th of February 2020 Brillo popped in, BR14 had "fun" in the pub with some obnoxious tories, and there was much discussion of half remembered films, including "Lucy" (not she who must not be mentioned), which NF watched, and STIII and STIV which I watched, whereas WTFH "hit the wall" and went to bed.

Ah, even worse: it's a Universal Credit loan. With the usual lack of joined up anything that might be expected of the government.

Just been potching with a Cambridge Instruments Electrodynamic Ammeter that I liberated from Ye Olde Sloughe of Desponde 10 or more years ago.

It worked. Lovely thing: mahogany case with big mirror scale meter. It agreed with my AVO8 on AC current.

Rain not helpful for the builders, one of whom has just turned up. It'll also make a mess of my floors as they have to tramp through the flat due to successive home owners claiming the back alleys as part of their gardens. There are sheets down to mitigate the worst of it.

The wife got her first Destination X message from Rob Brydon last night, so I really need to get the last few designed and generated. It's amazing what you can do with AI, it's not just a cheat for poor coders, but it allows us to create messages using famous peoples' voices.
