High, hazy cloud is gradually thickening, so it’s expected to be more cloudy than sunny today. It’s 15°C with an expected high of 25° this afternoon, and the barometers are up a tad more at 1017/1025mB

Feeling very tired again today. If the surgery don’t get in touch, I think I’m just going to stop taking this stuff anyway. They virtually admitted when they prescribed it that it wasn’t really needed, but argued that it might help some number go a little bit further in the direction it’s “supposed” to go, even though it’s perfectly fine where it is

Casting around for something to watch this evening, I remembered that Air Crash Investigation is on Prime (albeit under a different title) so I watched the episode about USAir Flight 1493 which landed on top of SkyWest Airlines Flight 5569 at LA International in 1991, due to a moment of forgetfulness on the part of an overworked flight controller

I’ve been feeling extremely under the weather today, again. I thought it might be hay fever, but apparently the pollen count is very low at the moment. And that made me realise: two weeks ago, I started feeling really tired all the time, getting headaches, and other symptoms. Also, while I do get hay fever, it’s never been anywhere close to as bad as what’s been happening during the past two weeks. And what do you know: two weeks ago, they started me on an additional cholesterol-lowering drug! And it turns out that the list of “possible adverse effects” includes tiredness, headaches, and the like

I filled in the online form on the surgery website saying I wanted to discuss possible side effects of medication with a doctor or pharmacist, but I haven’t heard back yet. I hope it isn’t one of those that goes into the bitbucket; you can never be quite sure when or if you’ll get a response to those forms. If I haven’t heard from them by tomorrow lunchtime, I’ll have to give them a call

In addition to the fly I can't kill, there's now a moth that won't listen to instructions to fly out of the open back door. It'll be dead soon if it doesn't fecking listen.

House roughly vacced for the sake of doing something with the afternoon. Not much got moved & nothing in the junk room moved at all.

Tea: chilli con carne with rice etc. Nice enough. Entertainment: PM waffling about nothing since they knew nothing. The height of futility canned & served up for our delectation.

Tonight, I read more of One Two Three Four. No mention of George Harrison going to visit my Auntie Josie and family in the middle of the night in Auckland during their 1964 world tour, but I’m not sure that story has ever made it out of the family to the Beatles biographers

Monday again tomorrow. But I haven’t got a huge amount to do, and I’m off for ten days from Thursday

Blue sky with occasional lumps of fluff. A breeze wafts every now and then. Currently 18 degrees with a high of 23 expected. Barometer up to 1025 mBar.

I was awoken at 6am by something scurrying around outside. I suspect it was in the garage's junk yard they have out back rather than my little patch of garden. I then dozed for a while and woke again at 8am. I considered this still too early and finally got up at 9am.

I'm all set for the drive down to Mum's; just having a coffee first. Next week I'll be staying with her while my brother has a well earned holiday.
