They're fairly well known Oracle apps specialists but if it's not your field you probably wouldn't have.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostNever heard of them.Last edited by KinooOrKinog; 15 January 2020, 20:30.

And there’s me thinking that the 90% take home ruse was too obvious and old hat these days..Originally posted by KinooOrKinog View PostI just had a call this morning from an agency, first of all offering me their accountancy solution for £60 for the first year (yes, year!), then promising me 90% take home pay. No idea how they were going to achieve it, cba listening that long.
Which is a shame because I always thought they were one of the more reputable ones but they've lost credibility now imo.

Seems like this outfit was acquired by its management in October last year.
If the report of them offering 90% take home is correct (and I have no independent confirmation of that) then this may have something to do with it?
Getting 90% take home in the present environment is
a. unlikely without some tax planning
b. Almost certainly going to draw the attention of HMRC
For all I know they have solved these issues.

IR35 Cold Call
In the late noughties, one of the biggest ones R*** was directing people into schemes. I know of a couple of first-time contractors and foreign workers who ended up in the shyte as a result. They assumed it must be ok if an agency like R*** was recommending it.Originally posted by KinooOrKinog View PostI just had a call this morning from an agency, first of all offering me their accountancy solution for £60 for the first year (yes, year!), then promising me 90% take home pay.
