Always treat the forum Administrator and Moderators with the respect and love that their offices deserve. And remember that until his sores clear up, CUK is Admin's only source of income.

    Chapter 13 - Mischief making

It was discussed earlier but is worth repeating. You cannot open a new topic and immediately insult someone. That is a bannable offence. You can however create a new topic with an innocent first comment and then insult any user from comment 2 onwards. The mod's really don't mind it and in fact many users have found its a good way of getting to know the mods on a first name basis.....

It is also worth remember that the mods are not very bright and it is very easy totrick a mod into banning someone (especially if the poster is already on their (totally non-existent) naughty list). Asking directly for someone to be banned is however counterproductive and is a bannable offence.....

This forum like most others is policed in the form of moderators (mods). There used to be quite a few mods but now only two remain. Learn their names, and remember them. Cojak, and NotAllThere.

Moderating is a difficult task at the best of times, so to make things easier there is no complicated rule book to be recited from. This could be argued that this is an entirely subjective way of moderating a forum, in which case the user should press alt+f4 to fix this.

As a rough guide, one should not start threads to insult other posters, although starting a thread and then insulting other posters from the second post onwards is entirely acceptable.

Posts featuring pictures of cats (especially by mad cat ladies) are bannable offences.

Edit : For a list of who's been banned and why, see the sticky thread of the same name.
