Pretty clever being crucified on the long bank holiday weekend.Originally posted by Bunk View PostHe wasn't a contractor either or he would never have missed those 3 billable days just because he'd been crucified
Edit: Easter is a Sunday so it was only one billable day wasn't it? Maybe he was a contractor after all

Mrs MarillionFan putting her foot down?Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostEver had one of those situations where you've carried out your job to the best of your abilities, obeyed the rules, implemented the changes according to the rules and then some twunt comes and escalates to your boss asking for the decision to be overruled & your boss completely undermines you & tells you to carry out the new instructions.
Seriously undermines your staff & causes terrible moral issues.
Disgraceful.
What happen to the days when men were men and sheep were afraid?

unless you are wondering whether to bury him under the patio.
Its knee jerk management, its available from almost anyone in a smart suit with a manager title.
Even if they were a stakeholder and voted on the Design gate/phase.
Just smile, send the stakeholders & sponsor a copy of the gate presentation and specifications annotated with the changes and get on with it. Then Invoice or take the pay packet.

Is that your boss undermining you or just failing to take into account all stakeholder's needs?
