    I saw a picture the other day talking about the importance of punctuation. There's a BIG difference between Paul McCartney saying "Here's a song I wrote, Yesterday" and "Here's a song I wrote yesterday"

    why thank you, it was sort of serious.

    it was playing the 3 chords that prompted it. If they are being that precious throwing the score from "Down, Down" at him would either get him to wise up or go 'what the hell, sounds fun'.

    Like Clapton there is some good, little known stuff from the 60/70s that you could make yours - for the night at least.

    Writing songs for a gig on Friday...

    I mean does Paul McCartney have to write ten new songs just for a gig..that he'll probably never repeat cos "they've already heard it".

    To keep the punters happy in our limited number of pubs I'm constantly having to write new stuff....it's unfair McCartney has about 20 songs he's been repeating for the last 50 years filling stadiums and earning millions and in order to earn "fifty bucks" at the local pub I've got work my "ass" off.
