Probably not as much as your wife. But as for you I didn't think care in the community was a highly paid position, wait till the ATOS interview before you get cocky!
Ah if it isn't the current CUK village idiot, a position held in spite of the fierce competition.

Actually, I've been helped out a few times by two particular agents who I have good relationships with. I have cut short notice periods (even though I was going through a different agent) got paid when the direct subbies weren't, CV top of the pile and holding others back etc. Thing is I don't bulltulip, they don't bulltulip back and I have excellent client satisfaction. No interviews required for the last 6 years says it all really.
I appreciate you jumping to our defence but we are the scum of the earth and proud of being so
But you don't actually make anything, just leach off the success of others.

It is little wonder that Germans who work less hours than the Brit's, are the world's 3rd largest exporter. The number of times a client has contacted me directly out here, it just never happened at home.
Doomed.
The Germans may be efficient at manufacturing but their service sector efficiency (which is still the majority of their economy) is way behind the UK's, especially London's.
Which is why mediocrities like you can make a living over there but can't here.
Talking to a neighbour who is a gas safe heating engineer and plumber (he's also a fully qualified sparky) and he's hardly at work. Turns out after fixing a boiler he offers a pay monthly service like British Gas to cover call outs and repairs. He's got loads of local BTL landlords subscribing and this income means apart from the odd failure and once a year servicing he doesn't need to work.
Anyone thinking of leaving IT might consider this option.
although personally I prefer the exports that don't require any work being done and just require checking the bank balance once in a while
You need to find something you can offer automatically which people are willing to pay money for. Then spend time either supporting / improving the service or creating another one.
I just wish I could be in the frontline like you lot putting people out of jobs
The thing is I've met a ton of people in jobs they cannot do. Utterly feckless. And guess what supplied by agents!

Indeed. Like the bird that perches on the rhinoceros, it's a service. This is the relationship between client and contractor.
The parasite the bird is after however, " an organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.". This is the relationship between agent and contractor.
