I think what you are getting at is the difference between IQ and EQ. A typical techie can work through a problem systematically at work. But when
a problem has a component of "how do you feel about ..." they fall down because there is no logical answer.

You really rate yourself don't you Dim.

    Lets look at the facts

Most techies have crap social skills
Most techies are ugly and cannot attract woman
Most techies are replaceable by cheap offshore resources
Most techies have small houses and are poor
Most techies don't lose their virginity until the age of 30 unless they have used Rhyponol and not been caught
Most techies who have used Rhyponol and have gone to prison will become the bitch of some big black yardie guy called Desmond who has never heard of Norman Beaton and so therefore that hilarious comparison is not going to save then from becoming known as Shirley on the prison landing.
That is not true, here is d000gh, bet he is a hit with the ladies!

We pick the one we like best, even if it is statistically poorer in some way. I can deal with that, but not everyone can.

The worst kind. Best managers are usually the ones who used to be brickies and the like.

You end up with arseholes if the techies move to management.

Remind me of your story again?

All the Managers ended up in the group that would make a snap decision because something needed to be done. If the system was overly complex they would just pick an opion at random and rely on the techies to make it work.
