I had a similar idea for a site where people post info about what they are doing etc BUT as a twist I limit them to only 140 characters so tOriginally posted by northernladuk View PostI had an idea around 2002-2004 to start a site where people could upload some pictures that no one really cared about, write useless tulip about being hungry and wine-O-clock and you could lose the ability to speak to your friends and instead like stuff and put stupid comments on, usually in Chav speak. Thought about calling it FaceMagazine or something.
Fookin stupid idea.

I have a gdoc I add ideas to. Most are rather dull and probably feasible, in many cases so feasible they already existed or have since been done.
But in terms of zany...
An automatic 'fly zapper' which uses image recognition/tracking to locate flies and then zap them.
Sadly I can't remember how the zapping was going to work, but I definitely remember having a solution. It would be a bit like that wonderful popcorn cannon which fired popcorn into your mouth when you said 'pop'.

It'd be better to provide a live rail on the motorway. Then there's no need to recharge the batteries; you just run off the mains whilst on the motorway.Originally posted by evilagent View Postrecharging for electric batteries.
wouldnt a tunnel made of copper coils every few miles be better?
(with an on-board magnet of course)

recharging for electric batteries.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostMight not be practical for petrol but could be just the thing for electric batteries.
Sometimes inventions are ahead of their time, and need another development to become realistic, such as tarmac for bicycles.

Some sort of wireless charging would probably make that idea a bit more feasible.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostMight not be practical for petrol but could be just the thing for electric batteries.
