I've had the odd business trip to Paris and Amsterdam whilst contracting but I spent three months in France selling beers on the beach when I was much younger so I voted "yes".

Holland, Ireland, France(twice), Belgium. Have actually only worked in the UK the last 7 years. Think it's done wonders for my married life!!

Germany/France/Belgium/Sweden commuting weekly 98-00
Sydney/Melbourne/Toronto/NYC/St Louis and some hick town in Illinois, two weeks out, one week home 03-05
Couple of trips to Amsters/Warsaw and other mainland European cities
France & Germany commuting weekly 50% of the time for the past few years.
Canada, Oz and NY were the most memorable but not for any work reasons.

Occasionally work in the UK, but try to avoid it.
Off skiing tomorrow, for the day. Leave home at 7:30, hit the slopes about 9:00.

The odd business trip doesn't count in my view, I mean actually getting a contract outside the country and living there (or commuting weekly).Originally posted by mudskipper View PostNot based abroad, but have been abroad in the course of my contracting work. So I don't know what to tick.

To me the UK is 'abroad'. I've never worked anywhere else though, business related short-term travel aside.
