For the record if it were a regular I'd not have many problems but the fact is he was a troll purely trying to stir things up and turn it into a personal feud. Some of the points raised were quite reasonable which is why I bothered continuing the discussion in the first place.

I suggest you have a religious discussion with more than one Church of England Vicar and if you are lucky you may be able to have a discussion with a Rabbi, Imam or another religions' religious scholar. They don't tend to take their Holy Book(s) literally.

Apart from the issue that the CofE is useless and doesn't necessarily believe anything for fear of offending those who disagree, I never claimed they do.
