    Saddle is defo too high. If you leg is at full extension then all you weight is being taken by your arse on the saddle, which increases the pressure and makes the pain worse. It will also shag the tendons in your ankles and knees as you will be over extending on every rotation.

    Sudocream is the savior of the long distance cyclist; slap it on as liberally as you can. I did a 34 mile ride this week, in 28 degree heat, and had forgotten my Sudocream so my arse is a red raw as MFs' is after a session with his Broker.

    Just got back home and slapped on a liberal amount and went for a cheeky 10 miler along the canal and it already feels better...

    You should set the saddle height with your leg straight and your heel on the pedal. Wearing padded cycling shorts helps.

    Pressure pain on the pelvic bones and perineum will ease as you get used to it. Check the bike is set up right for you and your saddle is properly aligned (Flat or very slight forward tilt) and get some proper padded shorts if you don't have them already.

    If it's chafing get some Chamois Cream and apply liberally.
