    I've done the same work before as well, truly soul destroying.

    I cant believe Im saying this, but you're right about needing a thick skin. However the right aptitude is possible within everyone with enough cocaine. One telesales place I work in my youth got shut down a while after I left as the manager was pushing/dealing coke to all the staff to keep them happy and revved up on the phones.
