AFAIK All the French oil refineries are down therfore no oil & no fuel.

Automanufactures are about to have lines stopped.

How long before flights are grounded or ships are stopped?

Indeed, India has got much more flexible labour laws, you won't hear much about strikes there, maybe apart from hunger ones...

Not quite in the same league but our flights to and from holiday were both delayed because French ATC are involved in the strike action.
