    Going to do mine early this year. Got 6k back last month for year before last but am owed over 10k for last year. So going to do it early as that will trigger off an investigation!!!

    I tend to wait until January and then rush it in with the other 100,000's of late finishers... leaves less time for HMRC to take a good look at it!

    Just after I started MyCo, I got a letter from Hector stating that they had "reviewed my situation and decided that I no longer needed to do SA".

    I was going to call them, but the next day I received another letter which stated that they had "reviewed my situation and decided that I should now complete SA".

    Some years ago I made the mistake - and it's apparently quite a big one - of being remiss about my SA forms. One day the doorbell rang and there was a chap from the Inland Revenue wanting to know what I was going to do about it

    He was quite nice about it really, even though I kept him standing on the doorstep for our entire conversation out of a vague fear that he might impound the cat or something.     Sheesh. Last time I had one of those I got a full audit on 3 years worth of accounts, all personal bank stuff & a full cavity search without gloves!
