I worked at one place where the union reasoned thus:
If a worker is on holiday, then they're denied the chance to earn overtime. To compensate for this, workers should get a holiday bonus of 10% for each working day taken as holiday.
What amazed me, is that this was accepted by management.
btw - as with students, it's impossible for CUK posters to strike, as striking presupposes that any of us are actually doing any work.
