    trust me you need sleep. many years of undiagnosed sleep apnea convinced me. I think the highlight was falling asleep in front of 40 HPers was the highpoint.

    Zeity she sounds like she was the one, any woman that lies about orgasms after the red eye is worth keeping.

    Here you go, today's Telegraph confirms what me and zamzummim said. How wise we are!

    In fact you can go for a year with little or no sleep and still function.

    A friend of ours once fell asleep on our loo. He was a new parent though so I guess he was allowed to feel tired.

    Once every 4-5 months I go through a period of not sleeping well. I just read obsessively, 2-3 books a night until I get over it.

    My philosophy is if you can’t sleep then you body doesn’t need it, just count it as extra time added to your life span and do something you enjoy with the extra free time.

    I mean who said we have to sleep from this time to that time or we have to sleep xx hours every night, listen to your body and just go with the flow.

    I always found that if you just stay in bed it makes little difference. It's only if you get up and watch TV, read a book etc that you feel really lousy in the morning.

    It was a very long dozy hump really... rather more than an hour & a half IIRC...

    I don't have fun like that any more... (mostly coz I somehow don't think I could keep it up for an hour & a half these days )
    An hour and a half is a very long time to be ... erm ... humping. It starts to get painful after an hour

    Do what I did:
    - keep leaping out of bed with cramp;
    - keep checking the clock;
    - get more and more grumpy;
    - give up and at 6:50 and go and do the washing up.

    HTH.
