Why exactly is it a good idea to get immunity to a virus which won't protect you against other variants?

If what you are suggesting is true then there would be no point at all in even issuing flu jabs every year to millions of pensioners. Is there nobody else there that can fathom that out for you....like a grown-up maybe?

What are you on about? It's because flu is constantly changing that they keep changing the flu vaccine each year to give protection against the most common strains.

How many times do we have to go round this... you don't develop an immunity to flu, only to a specific strain. That's why people can catch flu every year or even multiple times a year, even if they have the winter flu-jab. Flu is NOT like chicken pox.
