    I'll be honest, I'd never heard the term, but apparently "Parasocial is Cambridge Dictionary Word of the Year".

    It gets worse; it's defined as a "relationship felt by someone between themselves and a famous person they do not know" (sic).

    Is this yet another example of the widespread decline in peoples' mental health?
