I think it was probably a victim of being too well made as their products lasted for years. Once you had bought some, it rarely needed replacing unless you lost the lid.

This is the problem: products used to be made to last and then the filthy capitalists all conspired to build in planned failure / obsolescence and get more profits.

Have you never had left over food? Ok, some things you can wrap in cling film or foil, but left over curry? That you've made yourself I mean. In a pan.

Oh I have a variety of storage containers, most saved from takeaways as noted above. I just do not own anything Tupperware branded.

The last time I bought a set of plastic tubs, they came from John Lewis and are rubbish because the lids don't fit properly. Maybe I should have bought Tupperware.

LM and I are too young to have gone to Tupperware parties.

I remember being little probably 3??? and being told my mum and some friends were going to a Tupperware party.

Mmm...Just did a Google and there is a Facebook group called "Tupperware Facebook Party UK" so they were still doing them.
