If attendance of the party is dependent on your race that is quite obviously racist. If a politician had held a whites only party then they would have been definitely and rightly pilloried.

Well TCS employees are far more likely to be Indian but that is not the selection criteria so no its not the same.

98% of the American south were fine with Blacks in the back of the bus until courageous people fought it.

There are some clues in the article about other race parties, it's been going on for a long time and some other stuff she hints at in the few words the article has given her. I really don't think this story attempts to cover other facts outside of this one issue which is no doubt going to whip people in to a frenzy. Even the people that got disinvited seem pretty cool about it

I don't think getting angry at the headline is the way to go this time. Not saying something isn't wrong in the bigger picture and possibly in danger of being woke or discriminatory. Might need a rethink or balancing but I don't think the situation is as the article attempts to portray.
Whilst the councillors are technically non partisan. Boston is as blue as they come, 85% biden in 2020.

Incumbent congresswomen is democrat with 98% of the vote.

Is it really surprising that concillors are reluctant to speak out against a democrat Mayor?

EDIT : don't think I explained that very well.

On Monday an invite went out for a lads lunch over the road. Standing outside you could be forgiven for thinking it was a white straight, middle aged, home owner, non less able party gathering going on. The outrage. All those discriminatory/privileged groups were part of.
Day after the senior leadership, who are all ladies went somewhere, week before we had a bring a bit of food for the buffet with the TCS, plenty of TCS only gatherings happening.

So the equivalent headline would be a bunch of white racist bigots had lunch together but that's not the whole story.

    That better?

EDIT 2: If all the people interviewed at the door said they had white friends then I'm sure this would have blown over

The woke leftwing mob in the US changed the definition of racism years ago.

For example they even deem it acceptable (within the limits of what they deem to be free speech) to say genocide all white people.

    They consider:

Saying death to minority groups: Hate speech

Saying death to white people: Free speech

Recently there has been controversy about Jews after what happened in Israel. Jews consider themselves to be a persecuted minority, but the woke mob consider them to be very privileged white people. So they deem it within free speech to call for the genocide of this group.

This has been a wake up call to many in the Jewish community who had previously supported wokeness.

Obviously it goes without saying that calling for the genocide of any group should considered unacceptable Hate speech.
