I watched it when growing up - Jon Pertwee. some Tom Baker - but then forgot about it. Started watching again around the time of David Tennant when there were some story lines that I thought worked really well, but then lost interest again. I must watch 'Daleks in New York' again - really liked that one.
-
And it's back.
For those who wish to watch it.
Which doesn't include me.

"The Pyramids of Mars (1975)" is showing on BBC4.
Nice to see Sarah Jane Smith again.

With the exception of Space babies this has been a rather good series. Judging by the internet everyone is holding out for the Legend Of Ruby Sunday which is going to throw open lots of questions.Originally posted by ladymuck View PostThis week's episode was good! Just started watching the new series on Disney+.
The singing goblin is called Janice. Janice Goblin...
ow.
Anyway, my daughter who gave up on the whole thing half way through Capaldi, thinks the Christmas episode is the best one she's seen in years.

I have to actually have to work there first, one of my previous employers turnover has gone down by a few billion since I left there, I tell employers that its not all my fault for leaving!Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View Post
As filmed at the RCA mag tape factory in Brynmawr IIRC.
My Jonah effect was particularly strong here: after two unsuccessful interviews this is the site today:

Dixon of Dock Green was rather good.
I have another chance to not watch Doctor Who this evening on BBC3.
.
I'd have much preferred Jo Martin as Doctor Who rather than the current incumbent.
.
Dixon of Dock Green might have been good, but by the Almighty Zarquon that was crap: the first ep was dreadful, the 2nd ep even more so, to the extent that watching the Skinwalker Ranch nutjobs on Blaze was preferable.
The actors did their jobs, but the stories. WTF?
Reminded me of that fine Disney epic "The Black Hole" of immortal memory.
Looks like I'm done with Doctor Who after a mere 60 years.
The last decent stories were the recent Tennant offerings.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 2 June 2024, 18:22.

Hmm...
Watched the first two episodes. Maybe it'll grow on me. All seems a bit too happy clappy at the moment.

Depends if Ncuti is more Tennant than Capaldi. He could be quite fun. Or it could be total mess. No doubt we will soon find out.Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View PostIt's back on today from 18:20 to 20:00.
I think I'll watch Dixon of Dock Green instead, it's probably better.
.
But yes, there is much better stuff out there right now. Granite City and Red Eye for example
