Which bit of "If you want your Mercedes EV to use its full power that you have already purchased, you need to have it turned on by annual subscription £1,100 pa..." makes me an idiot? You are just an angary person. May the farts of a thousand gammons blow in your direction.

Are you an idiot? Surely everyone realised that the supposed benefits of the electric generation would come at a subscription cost, or did I miss something?Originally posted by Paddy View PostIf you want your Mercedes EV to use its full power that you have already purchased, you need to have it turned on by annual subscription £1,100 pa

Idiotic choice for a “subscription” service in a car, they should try selling annual service as a subscription instead or a car insurance…

Sounds like a few quid can be made by reverse engineering the protocol. Create a "man-in-the-middle" and switch everything on!Originally posted by _V_ View PostYou want to use those BMW heated seats your car comes with?
£12/month subscription please.

A monthly heated steering wheel subscription costs £10.
This is the future. Car companies build one trim level with everything installed, and the wealthy can unlock all the top features for monthly fees.

I don't think this is a bad idea TBF. DUnno about Mercs but the acceleration on Teslas is insane and way beyond what your average driver is used to so selling a dumbed down version seems to make sense. Must be a better way of marketing it than it being more expensive even though you aready own it. Maybe 1100 quid off if you don't get the extra power. Will appeal to a lot more people then.Originally posted by Paddy View PostIf you want your Mercedes EV to use its full power that you have already purchased, you need to have it turned on by annual subscription £1,100 pa
