Oh. Hang on. Just read the article.
So it's not said the unfriendly bit for over 10 years but someone has found a copy of it with the original text in? OK I take back anything I said. Woke brigade win a phyric victory over nothing. Absolutely no need for the book to be removed at all. Dark Black nailed it.OUP said that sentence had been amended in 2012 to read: "It would be easy to lose each other in such a crowded place."

They were all a bit Enid Blyton like , I was surprised when the school issued them to the kids. Most Kids loved them.Originally posted by d000hg View PostWell, probably not burning literally, that would be eco-terrorism.
Janet & John with travel.
The picture probably needs work, looks like an Indiana Jones set.

Biff's description of the people at this marketplace as not seeming "very friendly" was removed in 2012
A children's book that attracted criticism for describing people wearing turbans and a niqab as unfriendly has been withdrawn from sale.
Remaining copies of The Blue Eye - part of the Biff, Chip and Kipper series - have been destroyed by its publisher, Oxford University Press (OUP).Tags: None
