Previously on "Windows 11 File Explorer right click"
Come to think of it, I wonder what the difference is between "Copy as path", which I haven't seen before, and bog-standard vanilla "Copy"
Hopefully it's copying the directory path to get to the file, very useful if you create shortcuts to network locations, e.g. you might have a file called "CV.docx" in a folder, which you have called "OwlHoot1" in the link, or as a shortcut Y:\OwlHoot1.
But the actual path is \\Tawny1\root\Barn\LongEared\OwlPorn\MyDocs\CV.doc x
Copying the path is giving the actual location and not just the file, or the shortcut name you gave the location.
Anyone noticed that when right-clicking in Windows 11 File Explorer, most of the file-related options are now tucked away in a "Show more options". So to copy and paste and rename files, one has to do two clicks every time!
They also appear as image links at the top of the floating menu (for me anyway).
Cut, copy, rename, share, delete (presumably the most common options)
I also use Notepad++. But it has one or two extremely irritating features, such as an instatiable urge to change ones highlighted search string!
I really do wish there was a config option "never ever change search string to highlighted string, or string that happens to be somewhere near the cursor"
