That's nice. However we were talking about private jets and billionaires, not the 1%. Ironic given your rude comment.

get your facts right. The Wealthiest 1% Generate Half Of The World’s Global Aviation EmissionsOriginally posted by d000hg View Post
And? There are less than 3000 billionaires on the planet. Their personal net CO2 contribution is negligible. Far far, far less than their indirect effect to emissions through their companies, positive/negative influence on others, etc.
The argument a world leader taking a private jet to a major climate summit is hypocritical for instance, is patently absurd and demonstrates the small-minded petty vindictiveness of the have-nots.

private jets produce 10 times the amount of carbon per passenger.

A private jet doesn't generate as much CO2 as a large passenger plane, let alone a small nation.

it's simple, they need a message to distract the people from the fact they are slaves to the system the financial elites have created to enable them to have all the luxury without any of the effort.Originally posted by Andy2 View PostBillionaires with private planes generate as much co2 as a small nation while us commoners are being lectured on our carbon emissions
so they come up with: BLM, pride month, climate change clap for the NHS. They actually do not care about those things but if you challenge the commoner with them, they cannot say they are against it. If you say you lose your job and wash toilets for the rest of your life. Keeps the beta cucks spinning in circles chasing their tail.
Financial capital has a better yield than human capital so long term the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer. Most of the people have all of their things in their life bought on credit or servicing a large credit. Phones, tv's, cars, house. Everything on credit. They afford a beer at the weekend while working 50h a week and think of themselves so class free, so smart and swanky.
Wages have been stagnant for 20y, nobody can afford anything, media is controlled by them and this forums are not free either, you get bots or moderators that are paid to follow certain themes.
Feudalism never left, it just morphed into a more elaborate form.

Met him once (I was working on one of his boats). He walked into the kitchen at about 8pm doing the rounds of his business interests. He knew all the regular staff and their families, quite a presence his staff loved the job.Originally posted by ladymuck View PostHe does look good for a chap in his 70's though.
Due to a lot of swagger he's managed to blag his way into what looks like a fun life.
I suspect he got there by working smart & hard.
